Greymouth Corps on the Move

Greymouth Corps on the Move

As a long-awaited answer to prayer, Greymouth Corps has relocated to newly leased freehold premises at 77 Shakespeare Street. While Family Store remains at the location on Murray and Tainui Streets, Sunday and mid-week meetings are now being held at the new site. After building renovations have been completed to accommodate office space, the Community Ministries, foodbank and other services will move to the new location.

During this last meeting on 15 January, reflections, thoughts and memories were shared of times at this site.

The first Sunday at the new location on Shakespeare Street was 22 January. During the week, the leadership team gathered at the new location and prayed through every area of the building.

The first Sunday began with a well-attended prayer time prior to the meeting. Time was given in the meeting to bring words of Scripture, a promise, or other thoughts as they start a new year in this new place provided under God’s leading. A light lunch concluded a wonderful time of blessing, with the belief and promise of greater things to come. The official opening, led by Southern Divisional Leader Major Susan Goldsack, is scheduled for the first weekend of March 2023, preceded by a whakawatea led by bishop of Te Pīhopatanga o Te Waipounamu the Right Reverend Richard Wallace.
